The rebranding concept embraces an extreme less is more, inspired by Japanese minimalism. Abstract forms, shaped by light, create a visual language that captures the essence of a cuisine that comes remarkably close to art.

A true icon of high-end Japanese cuisine in Milan, Iyo Restaurant made history in 2015 as the first oriental restaurant in Italy to receive a Michelin star. Since its opening in 2007, it has never stopped innovating, forging new paths and reaffirming its role as an absolute leader in the field.
This ongoing evolution has always been reflected in its visual identity, which is periodically reimagined to capture the essence of a brand that is constantly moving forward, never static, never the same.
To convey this spirit of exploration, Cacao Design took an equally innovative approach to its rebranding—breaking away from convention while maintaining a sense of refinement and essentiality, perfectly aligned with the minimalism of Japanese culture. A radical less is more, where space is shaped only by light bouncing off abstract, geometric forms. Sculptural objects that echo a cuisine that, at Iyo, has never been closer to art.
